This month, the Some Kinda Wonderful Paper Pack (papers or color palette) will be the focus of our projects. I used the feature paper, and accented it with Pacifica and Black.
My daughter deserves the credit for the design of this card. We sat down together to create one day (yay!), and she cut around the hills and added a sentiment to the top left corner of her card. I loved how it was simple but with impact! I stamped my sentiment with the Black Mini Pigment Ink Pad and heat embossed with black embossing powder (you could use clear detail embossing powder too). I put liquid glass on the black areas of the "hills" to coordinate with the shine of the sentiment.
Photographing the shine was a bit of a challenge. I tried to add bling and ribbon to the front, but everything detracted from the simplicity of it. I opted to put some black and gold ribbon from the Uptown Ribbon Pack behind the front panel instead. The panel is popped up with Thin 3-D Foam Tape on a Pacifica Cardstock base.
I finished off the inside of the card with a few more "hills" and used a journaling pen to draw a border.
Thanks for hopping by today! Hop over to Lisa's Blog and Donna's Blog to see what they created for you, then over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge. We hope you play along!
