TABH Challenge 24

Welcome to the Three Amigos Blog Hop. We are three friends with a love for stamping and paper crafting, and would like to share our creative ideas with you on the 3rd of each month. There are only three stops on this hop, so it will only take a few minutes to hop through. When you finish hopping, be sure to check out the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge!

We have a rainbow challenge going on at Three Amigos this month. I pulled out my rainbow of ink colors (Blossom, Smoothie, Saffron, Lagoon, Carolina, Pansy), a stencil, and texture paste to make a quick card.

The texture paste gives the leaves dimension on the card. I purposefully spread the paste unevenly toward the outer leaves to add even more texture and interest. The ink colors were sponged on through the stencil after the paste dried. I added sparkle with the clear shimmer brush. The camera doesn't do the shimmer justice! I used the new Stitched Rectangle Frames Thin Cuts to cut the card front, and popped up the center portion with foam tape.

I tried several different stamp sentiments before settling on a die cut. To make the sentiment stand out against the busy background, I covered it with Liquid Glass and placed a die cut vellum circle behind it. Since the sentiment covered up the center of my leafy medallion where the Pansy Ink was sponged, I added a piece of Thistle ribbon from the retired Whimsy Ribbon Pack.

Thanks for hopping by today! Hop over to Lisa's Blog and Donna's Blog to see what they created for you, then over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge. We hope you play along!
