Hello Thin Cuts

A couple weeks ago, I stumbled upon wood veneer sheets on clearance at Target. I purchased them with the intention of giving them to my daughter to create with. As we were chatting on FaceTime, we were curious if they would cut with our Thin Cuts. I grabbed the Hello Thin Cut to give it a try. They cut the veneer beautifully!

I cut three more of the "hello" from Desert Sand Cardstock, then glued and stacked them. I stamped the wreath with Cocoa ink, colored the leaves with Shin Han Markers, and cut the image with the coordinating Thin Cut. I used papers from the Adventure Fundamentals and the Dreamin' Big Paper Pack.

The banner is popped up with Thin 3-D Foam Tape. I added a few Gold Glitter Gems for sparkle. I kept the inside simple, using a strip of the veneer to tie into the Thin Cut sentiment on the front.

You Are Tea-rrific

What do you do when you hit a creative slump? To break out of my slump, I grabbed the March SOTM, Tea-rrific, and created a card. I kept the process simple to begin with, choosing the colors and card design. Sea Glass and White Daisy are the feature colors on this card, with touches of Whisper and Ruby.

I added texture to the front of the card using the Wood Slats Embossing Folder, Sea Glass Glitter Paper, heat embossing the sentiment, and popping the teacup with Thin 3-D Foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with the Whisper Mini Pigment Ink Pad and used Clear Superfine Embossing Powder. The patterned paper is from the Dreamin' Big Paper Pack.

I stamped the teacup with Juniper Ink for a subtle tone-on-tone look. I used a Copic marker (BG10 Cool Shadow) to add a bit of shading. To add a light touch of color to the tag, I squeezed ink into the lids of my Whisper and Ruby Ink Pads, spritzed with water, and used the Small Round Waterbrush to gently apply color. I also added a little Whisper "wash" behind the cup.

Coordinating the inside of the card adds a finishing touch.

Three Amigos March 2017 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos Blog Hop. We are three Close To My Heart Independent Consultants with a love for stamping and scrapping, and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd of each month, we feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout, or other project. There are only three stops on this hop, so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.

Our projects feature the Dreamin' Big paper pack or coordinating colors this month. Dreamin' Big is my favorite collection in this Seasonal Expressions. The vibrant colors and versatile patterns catch my eye. I made a shaker card following the Originals: Clockwork pattern and using the Circle Thin Cuts, which happen to be on sale this month.

I stamped the lady bugs from the Dreamin' Big- Cardmaking stamp set, colored the spots, head and antennae with my journaling pen, and cut then out with the coordinating Thin Cuts.

I cut apart a 3x3 flip flap to use as the clear front on my shaker panel. Along with the ladybugs, I filled the shaker with retired sequins I had in my stash. Three Black Enamel Dots outline the shaker panel. The sentiment is also from the Dreamin' Big- Cardmaking stamp set.

I added a few more circles to the edges of the inside panel to finish off the card.

Thanks for Hopping by today! Be sure to check out Lisa's Blog and Donna's Blog to see what they created this month. See Lisa's post for information about our coming challenge and a giveaway for March!
