This month we are sharing projects using Falling For You (papers or featured colors) from the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book. The featured colors are Almond, Charcoal, Espresso, Fern, Goldrush, Linen, Nutmeg, Pewter, Saffron, Toffee.
My studio time has been very limited lately, so I'm keeping it simple again this month. I designed a friendship card using the Falling For You Cardmaking stamp set Thin Cuts. Instead of using a stark white, pre-made card base, I opted to make a top-folding card using our new Linen double-sided cardstock. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base and embellished around it.
I embossed the Nutmeg strip with the new Buffalo Plaid Embossing folder and added color to two of the stamped leaves with Shin Han Touch Twin Markers. To make the bow, I pulled two strands off of a piece of White Burlap Ribbon. A few Bronze Sequins finish off the design.
One more colorful leaf brings the fall feeling to the inside of the card too.
Thanks for hopping by today! Hop over to Lisa's Blog and Donna's Blog to see what they created for you, then over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge. We hope you play along!
